These tropical water lilies have been discontinued from our store. Some maybe available for purchase in the form of tubers or we may possibly be able to acquire new stock from our wholesaler.
Why do we discontinue certain tropical water lilies?
As you know Utopia Aquatic is not a huge firm with acres of land. We are a small state inspected operation. Our number one reason for discontinuing a particular plant is slow sales. We are limited by space and if our statistics are show that sales are slow we will discontinue a tropical water lily and replace it with another one. We will also discontinue a tropical water lily if we learn of a better performing variety. For example, in 2008 we replaced Jack Wood with Charlie's Pride. Charlie's Pride is more red than Jack Wood and also has more petals.
All hope is not lost if you are interested in a discontinued tropical water lily. Often times, we have access to these plants from our wholesaler so if you are interested, just let us know early in the season and we will do our best to get the plant for you!
